Day 01 - Arrive Colombo - Kandy

Highlights:

Upon arrival at the Colombo Bandaranayake International Airport, you will be received warmly by Yes Travel World  representative.

 

You will then be escorted to your vehicle to begin your holiday in Sri Lanka. Proceed to Kandy, Enroute visit PINNAWALA ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE – Approx. 55 miles from Colombo, off the Colombo-Kandy Road is Pinnawela.

 

Here an orphanage was started in 1975 to house abandoned and wounded elephants. The number of elephants has increased to more than 65 now; including baby elephants brought from various parts, as well more than 25 babies born because of the captive breeding programmer.

 

The best time to visit is the feeding time from 0915-0945hrs and 1415-1445hrs. The bathing time from 1000-11.00hrs and 1500-1600hrs. When all the elephants are taken to the river close by. Thereafter procced to Kandy via Mawanella - En-route visit Spice Garden. Sri Lanka is world renowned for its valued spices and healing herbs. Our lush spice and herbal gardens feature many important herbs such as Sandalwood, Margosa, Cocoa, Citronella, Almond, Jasmine, and Coconut. Later check in to the hotel in Kandy. Overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 02 - Kandy - Ramboda - Nuwara Eliya

Highlights:

Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel. Visit TEMPLE OF SACRED TOOTH RELIC which is believed to house the left upper canine tooth of the Lord Buddha himself.

 

This precious relic attracts white-clad pilgrims, bearing lotus blossoms and frangipani, every day. Later Proceed to Nuwara En-route visit Ramboda Hanuman Temple and Ramboda waterfalls. Check to the hotel in Nuwara Eliya. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 03 - Nuwara Eliya - Kithulgala - Bentota

Highlights:

This morning after breakfast then check out and proceed to Bentota En- route visit Kithulgala on the way to Bentota from Nuwara Eliya. Overnight stay in Bentota.

Day 04 - Bentota

Highlights:

After breakfast at the hotel the day is at leisure . You can explore the below sightseeing at an additional cost
MADU RIVER flows across Balapitiya (approx. 80kms down south of Colombo) and is one of the rarely visited, unspoiled attractions any nature lover can find in Sri Lanka. She boasts of having a cluster of 64 small islands scattered along her path and the most of which are covered with mangroves and uninhabited. The largest island is known as "Ma Doowa" is the largest inhabited island within the country where about 300 families live. The smallest islet of the lot is called "Satha Paha Doowa" where there is a tiny shrine with a statue built in respect of the gods of Kataragama.
KOSGODA SEA TURTLE HATCHERY -One of the most important activities of the project is its hatchery. Within the sanctuary of the project, collected and rescued eggs can hatch safely away from predators before being released into the sea at night-time. In addition, a certain number from each hatching are kept back for a short period for 'head starting' before release. The hatchery program is designed to maximize the number of hatchlings reaching the sea and surviving through the critical stages of their early life. Only a few hatchlings from each batch will ever make it to adulthood. Therefore, every nest-ground, every egg, every hatchling, and every turtle is crucial to the survival of the species. Unfortunately, sea turtles face many dangers.

Day 05 - Bentota - Colombo

Highlights:

Today morning check-out & transfer to Colombo. This is a commercial capital of Sri Lanka. The name "Colombo", first introduced by the Portuguese in 1505, is believed to be derived from the classical Sinhalese name Kolonthota. The most attractive place which situated in Colombo is Galle face. Guests can visit around the Colombo city. If they want can get an experience with grand lunch in five star hotels in Colombo. While on your city tour in Colombo you may visit famous places including Galle Face Green, the Viharamahadevi Park, National Museum, Twin World Trade Center towers, Old Parliament Building, Fort district, Independence Hall at Independence Square, and prominent Buddhist, Hindu, Islam and Christian places of worship. (Entrance fees to sites not included). For shopping, you may visit Odel, House of Fashion, Beverly Street, Majestic City, Noritake, etc. Overnight stay in Colombo.

Day 06 -  Colombo - Departure from Colombo

Highlights:

After breakfast it’s time to check out. Transfer to the airport for your onward flight or back home.

Travel Documents & Requirements

Proper passport with min 6 months validity from the date of departure along with sufficient blank pages for the stamping of visa.
