Day 02 - Dalhousie – Khajjiar “Mini Switzerland” of India 

Highlights:

Have a great breakfast in your Hotel and then you will be transfer to most beautiful Khajjiar which is also known as “Mini Switzerland” of India . filled with natural beauty and picturesque landscapes. Those who are with adventure spirit can experience thrilling activities like Paragliding, Zorbing and Horse Ridding etc. at an additional cost.

You will visit Khajjiar Sanctuary famous for Deodar Forest, Grasslands and an easy going hiking trail which leads to untouched forest and a mesmerising view of Pir Panjal ranges.

 

You  will visit local temples and also visit the Ajith Singh Smarak and Satadhara Sparkling Springs.

ABOUT DALHOUSIE

In western Himachal Pradesh, the hill station of Dalhousie is full of old world charm and holds lingering echos of the Raj era. It covers an area of 14 sq. km. and is built on five hills - Kathlog, Patreyn, Tehra, Bakrota and Balun. It is named after the British governor General of the 19th century, Lord Dalhousie. The town's average height is 2036 m, and is surrounded by varied vegetation - pines, deodars, oaks and flowering rhododendron. Dalhousie has charming colonial architecture, including some beautiful churches. Its location presents panoramic views of the plains and like a long silver line, the river Ravi twists and turns below Dalhousie. The spectacular snow-covered Dhauladhar Mountains are also visible from this enchanting town.

Day 03 - Khajjiar - Dalhousie – Dharamshala -Approx. 120 Kms

After breakfast drive to Dharamshala (220 kms.).  Mcleodganj is a famous little town of Dharamshala also known as "Little Tibet".

At the start of Mcleodganj is a small bazaar filled with variety of Tibetan handicrafts and artifacts.

​

Dharamshala is a hillside city surrounded by cedar forests located on the edge of the Himalayas known as the home of Dalai Lama. you will visit Kangra Fort the largest fort in Himalayas built atop a hill with a sweeping view of the Kangra valley. 


You will also visit Chinmaya Tapovan an ashram at the foot of the Dhauladhar ranges in the Kangra Valley. Here you will see the meditation hall. A small walk to reach the Ashram through the dense pine forest offers a panoramic views.

 

Evening is free time to relax and explore the surroundings

Day 04 - Dharamshala – sightseeing

After breakfast in your hotel you will be visit explore Dharamshala.

Day 05 - Dharamshala – Amritsar - Approx. 210 kms

On your arrival in the afternoon you will be directly proceed  to Attari Wagah Border (subject to operation) – to witness the prestigious lowering of the flags ceremony daily military practice that the security forces of India and Pakistan have jointly followed since 1959.

In the evening we enjoy the Golden Temple view and Sound & Light Show at Gobindgarh Fort.

Day 06 Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh - Hometown

Have a Nice Breakfast and  after breakfast check out from the hotel & then you will be proceed to visit Jallianwala Bagh a historic garden and memorial of national importance preserved in the memory of those who were killed in the Jallianwala Massacre that happened on 13th April 1919 and Partition Museum – world's first Museum dedicated to the Partition of 1947.

 

You will visit Golden Temple also known as Harmandir Sahib or Darbar Sahib is the holiest Gurdwara and the most important pilgrimage site of Sikhism, here you will also see Akal Takht – throne of immortal and highest seat of authority of Khalsa.

 

Golden temple at night is certainly a treat for the eyes & soul.
